Chaotropic Lysis Buffer lyses the cell membranes preventing bacterial proliferation, inactivating nucleases, and stabilizing Viruses, Bacteria, Chlamydia, Protozoa, and Mycoplasma nucleic acids; thus Chaotropic Lysis Buffer with Swab is not intended to be used for culture-based techniques, but for use with compatible molecular assays.
100 Test Tubes (12x80mm, sterile) containing 2 ml of Chaotropic Lysis Buffer;
100 Nasopharyngeal Swab (sterile in single blister);
